The Oven

“네트워크 The Oven"의 핵심 추진 목적은 전 세계 도시에서 창작자 커뮤니티를 기반으로 독립적인 활동을 모색해온 멤버 그룹들의 경험과 지혜를 연대하고 공유함으로써, 예술 생태계의 지속 가능성을 확장하는 것이다. 이 네트워크는 각자의 커뮤니티가 직면한 도전 과제와 문제 의식을 공유하고, 그 해결을 위한 협력적이고 대안적인 방안을 모색하는데 중점을 둔다. 독립성을 유지하는 것이 점점 더 어려워지는 현대사회에서, 이러한 독립적인 활동의 중요성과 가치를 재확인하고 강화하는 것이 목적이다.

지속 가능성과 대안: 우리는 끊임없는 성장과 경쟁을 우선시하는 현재의 신자유주의 패러다임이 지속가능하지 않다는 것을 잘 알고 있습니다. 더 오븐은 지배적인 운영 방식에 대한 대안의 필요성에 공감하며 독립적인 아티스트의 노력을 지속할 수 있는 대안을 모색합니다.
도전과 협업: 우리는 끊임없는 연결성이 소외감과 피로감으로 이어질 수 있는 디지털 시대의 어려움을 잘 알고 있습니다. 이러한 도전에 개별적으로 저항하는 대신, 네트워크는 협업과 집단적 문제 해결을 장려합니다. 경험을 공유하고 공통의 문제를 해결함으로써 회원들은 커뮤니티에서 힘과 회복력을 찾을 수 있습니다.
가치 재확인: 오븐은 모든 것이 효용성이나 시장성 측면에서만 평가되는 현대 사회에서 모든 것이 도구화되는 것을 인식하고 있습니다. 이 프로젝트는 상업적 틀에 잘 맞지 않을 수 있는 독립적인 아티스트 활동의 중요성과 가치를 재확인하고자 합니다. 이 네트워크는 경험을 공유하고 대안을 모색함으로써 예술을 단순한 상품으로 축소하는 것에 저항하며 창의성과 커뮤니티의 본질적인 가치를 기념합니다.

더 오븐은 우리 생태계에 만연한 개인주의, 지속 불가능성, 도구화에 대응하기 위한 노력을 통합합니다.

The Oven

The core thrust of "Network The Oven" is to expand the sustainability of arts ecosystems by connecting and sharing the experience and wisdom of member groups that have been exploring independent work based on creator communities in cities around the world. The network focuses on sharing the challenges and issues facing their respective communities and exploring collaborative and alternative ways to address them. It aims to reaffirm and strengthen the importance and value of these independent activities in a modern world where it is increasingly difficult to maintain independence.

Sustainability and Alternatives: We understand the unsustainability of the current neoliberal paradigm, which prioritizes relentless growth and competition. The Oven explores alternative ways of sustaining independent artistic endeavors, which resonates with the need for alternatives to the dominant operating modes.
Challenges and Collaboration: We understand the challenges posed by the digital age, where constant connectivity can lead to a sense of alienation and fatigue. Instead of resisting these challenges individually, the network encourages collaboration and collective problem-solving. By sharing experiences and addressing common issues, members can find strength and resilience in the community.
Reaffirming Value: The Oven is aware of the instrumentalization of everything in contemporary society, where everything is valued only in terms of utility or marketability. This project seeks to reaffirm the importance and value of independent artistic activities that may not fit neatly into commercial frameworks. Through sharing experiences and exploring alternative approaches, the network celebrates the intrinsic worth of creativity and community, resisting the reduction of art to mere commodities.

The Oven merges efforts to counteract the individualism, unsustainability, and instrumentalization prevalent in our ecosystems.
